British Values:
In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values so that when our young people leave school, they are prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
The Key Values are:
democracy
rule of law
individual liberty
mutual respect
tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
For further information see ‘Fundamental British Values as part of SMSC in schools’.

Pupil Premium:
Pupil Premium children eligible for funding, through the Pupil Premium Grant, will be allocated following a needs analysis which will identify priority classes, groups or individuals.
The range of provision the school may include:
small group work to focus on overcoming gaps in learning
1:1 support
opportunities through trained TAs or external agencies to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience which in turn impacts on learning
acquiring effective materials and methods aimed at raising standards, particularly in reading and mathematics.
All our work through the Pupil Premium Grant is directed towards ensuring children meet at least age related expectations and to supporting their emotional wellbeing. The impact of the use of the Pupil Premium Grant is reported at governing body meetings and the governors monitor its use closely to ensure it is being used effectively to raise standards for disadvantaged children.
We publish information on how we have used our Pupil Premium Grant to address the issue of ‘narrowing the gap’. Please see our most up to date information below.

Sports Premium:
The government provides additional funding to improve provision of Physical Education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding is referred to as the Sports Premium and is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The school can choose how we use the funding in order to . The link below provides some guidance on how the funding should be spent.
Possible uses for the funding might include:
Hiring specialist PE teachers or qualified sports coaches to work with primary teachers when teaching PE
Supporting and engaging the least active children through new or additional 'Change-4-Life' clubs
Paying for professional development opportunities for teachers in PE and sport
Providing cover to release primary teachers for professional development in PE and sport
Running sport competitions, or increasing pupils’ participation in the School Games
Buying quality assured professional development modules or materials for PE and sport
Providing places for pupils on after school sports clubs and holiday clubs
Pooling the additional funding with that of other local schools.
Below you will find details of how much we received this school year for sports premium and the breakdown of how we plan to use it to benefit our children.
