Year 3 - Super Scientists!

Here is a lovely picture of Year 3 learning about different types of rocks - they learned lots of new vocabulary, including 'igneous', 'sedimentary', 'metamorphic' and 'erosion'. The children took part in an experiment where they 'made' different types of rocks, using chocolate!! They used melted chocolate and ice to demonstrate the formation of an 'igneous' rock, chocolate shavings and aluminium foil to make a 'sedimentary' rock, and partially melted and cooled chocolate to make a 'metamorphic rock'.
