A Ray of Sunshine:
At Our Lady and St Joseph School, we are delighted to share a heart-warming story that has brought light and joy to our whole school community. Thanks to the incredible generosity of a kind-hearted donor named Ray, we are soon to be the proud owners of a brand-new projector and screen. This wonderful addition means we can enjoy Mass and assembly inputs with much greater clarity—helping us to come together in a more connected and meaningful way.
Ray’s act of kindness has not gone unnoticed. The children and staff at OLSJ were so thankful that Miss Calton & Mrs Prince visited Ray and invited him to visit our school, tour our grounds, and see the many ways we work together to build a vibrant, caring, and inspiring learning environment. During our visit, Ray had the opportunity to discuss our community work in action and shared stories about his family who mean the world to him. It was a privilege to visit Ray and thank him for his generous donation to our school family.
During our time with him, we shared a special scrapbook created by the children. It was filled with colourful drawings, heartfelt messages, and thoughtful quotes from pupils who had taken a keen interest in Ray’s career, his family, and his life experiences. It was clear that Ray’s generosity and invested interest in their education and lived experiences had truly inspired them.
Ray wholeheartedly believes in the power of young people and often says, “The children are our future.” He was touched to see how deeply his support had impacted the school and was honoured to be considered an extended part of our OLSJ family.
From all of us at Our Lady and St Joseph School—thank you, Ray, for your remarkable generosity and for believing in our mission. Your gift is more than just a projector; it’s a symbol of your belief in our children and their potential to shape the future.
Thank you for being our 'Ray' of sunshine.
